Complaint Review: Spanner Services

 This company contacted me stating that my computer was being "hacked" and needed work to block it immediately. As I am paying a legitimate company, Advanced Tech Support, a monthly fee to keep my computer running clean I asked the caller if they were with AST he said yes and thay were a "back office' for them. I asked them several times if they were the company I am paying to work on my computer when needed and they contiuwed saying yes.They said that my monthly fee covered Virus and E-mail problems only and I needed a Hacker's programin installed. I said ok then and they workrd on the computer installing programs. As it ran late into the evening hours I was tired of all the time involed with it. The next morning I didn't feel right about it and called ATS and asked them if they had workrd on my computer and they said no and that this company and others were scamming people. This was a clear case of fraud and misrepresentation and I was sucked into a $ 182 dollar bill. BE AWARE of these people and double check your sources.
