I bought a brand new Jeep Liberty from Sparkie's Jeep. I wish i had took more time and made a better choice of dealerships. I went by to look at the Jeeps. The saleman acted very uninterested in what we had to say. We came back another day to give them another chance and thats when i saw a Jeep I wanted so bad. So i inquired about it.

The dealerships interest rates was way too high so I went to the bank to check on their rates. They turned out to be better. The sales guy had already quoted me a price so before the bank cute me a check they called to verify the amount. When they talked to the same sales guy, he quoted them a different amount. I't was more than he had quoted me.

Then he checked again and decided to go along with the right quote. I got the check and I was so excited to be getting my brand new JEEP!! When i arrived at the dealership with a 27,000 thousand dollar check I was approached by a differnt sales person. This time it was a woman.

Hoping to be greeted with a smile, all I got from her was a big FROWN and "So are you gonna by it?" I advised her that I had the check. She told me to come in and sit down. She said that the sales guy we had been dealing with was with someone else. It was so clear that she was upset because she had to do his work. She then proceeded with my paper work. She asked me for my drivers lisence and I advised her I didnt have my new ones with me. She told me a very stern voice that she would have to have them or she couldnt finish the paper work.

I didnt have a problem with going and getting my lisence. She just had a bad attitude about it. No one showed us how any of the features of the Jeep worked. They basically just handed me the keys and sent my out the door. I did see the owner of the dealership on his computer. He had no interest in his customers or how his employees were treating his customers. I talked to the original sales guy we had been dealing with.

He advised us that the woman sales woman was mad at him because he didnt fill his paper work out right and she had to finish filling it out. SO SHE TOOK HER ANGER OUT HER CUSTOMERS!!! I have emailed Mr. Sparks {the owner} and he will not respond!!

I have had to take my BRAND NEW JEEP back twice already with transmission slipping! and they tell me nothings wrong with it!!MY ADVICE: BE SURE TO PICK A DEALERSHIP THAT APPRECIATE'S THEIR CLIENTS!!!!

You wanted it "so bad", right?

Amy:

You wanted it "so bad", so bad that you were willing to be a doormat for their bad treatment, right? This is the PRIME REASON so many people get victumized...they set themselves up for it!

You did the RIGHT THING by researching the financing and eliminating the possibilities of them defrauding you by some sort of financing scheme. But I wonder Amy, how much of a PHONEY-BALONEY dealer fee did they extract from you? How much of a "dealer prep" fee did they double dip you for?

Amy, you did the right thing, as I said earlier by getting your own financing. You did the WRONG thing by sitting there and taking their garbage.
You are NOT a doormat and you don't need to be treated that way. You are a customer and without customers, there's no need for this dealership to exist.

And remember Amy, a car is NOTHING MORE than transportation. Its not a god to be worshipped, not something to "make you look good" or any of the other NONSENSE the advertising agencies try to brainwash people with.

Sparkie's Chrysler Dodge Jeep is the Best

#6Consumer Comment

Fri, September 17, 2004

I have had many dealings with Sparkie's Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Forest City North Carolina and I find this posting from Amy to be a joke. The staff are some of the most responsive and dedicated professionals I have ever delt with. Lots of dealers talk about service after the sale, the people at Sparkie's Chrysler Dodge Jeep live that motto. I am especially surprised about the comment concerning the "woman" sales person. She in my opinion very friendly and ready to help anyone who comes through the door at anytime. She is a wonderful person. Lastly Mr. Sparks...that man always makes things right with his customers, I dare say he would never just blow off a complaint. I feel "Amy" just had a bad day and wanted to take it out on someone. Such a shame she could not voice her opinion to one of the staff. Finally, what does her story have to do with the "Rip-off" theme of this website anyways???? NOTHING!
