SPARKLETTS WATER Beware of deceptive billing & difficulty to contact customer service. Phoenix Arizona
Sparkletts has been delivering water to me for more than a year. I had made arrangements that they just debit my credit card for products and services. I had the same delivery order every two weeks. On February 20,2015, I was going to move, so I called Sparkletts to cancel my services. I asked them to come and pick-up my equipment on that telephone call.
The consumer assistant told me I owed $92.16 which I said was in error. When I looked at my bill, I notices some odd charges for extra deliveries on the bill. When I questioned those deliveries she said that I needed to talk to a manager. I agreed. Unfortunately, a manager was not available so she said she would ask him to call me later in the day. The manager never did call. Not that day, not ever.
I moved to a new residence and because Sparkletts had not picked up my equipment within 5 days of my call, I took it with me. I had given them my forwarding address. Then, 2 weeks later, Matt, my delivery driver called me and said he noticed I had moved. I told him I had cancelled services on 2/20/15. He said he had not been made aware of that. He said he would arrange for a driver to pick up my equipment.
Then on March 25, a Sparkletts came by the new residence and picked up my equipment. Today, I get a new bill from Sparkletts. It is for $130.00. They are charging me for March plus a late fee.
Immediately, upon getting the bill I try and call customer service. They don't recognize my account number or my telephone number. I hold for a live person for 20 minutes and the phone goes dead. I try again later in the day and hold for 13 minutes and finally give up.
I then call DS Services, the parent company here in Phoenix area and only get get a voice mail that tell me to use the customer service line. The same line that I held for 20 minutes and 13 minutes without getting a live person.
So, I submit to anyone considering Sparkletts, certainly in Phoenix to be aware of deceptive billing practices and the difficulty to get any wrong doing corrected. I don't even know what to do next.
