This 'college' is a complete scam. I attended this school for aircraft maintenance and obtain an associate in applied science. First off this school is one big lie. They advertise that they are the "best aviation school". As a matter of fact, I have been passed over for jobs because I went to this school. I have twice been told by interviewers, "I don't hire Spartan Graduates". The AA facility directly across the street from the school's shop wouldn't hire Spartan Graduates. You don't even need an A&P to work in aviation maintenance. They are not accredited as they claim and their credits do not transfer despite being told by my recruiter and by R.W.. After I had trouble finding employment I decided to pursue a 4yr degree, and was told by the college I went to that they nor any other college would accept Spartan credits. Same went for a community college I later attended. So basically I have an AAS that's just as useful as toilet paper. This is a complete contradictory from what I and a group of about 40 people were told in orientation. After completing the A&P program, I opted to get my AAS. After I completed the courses I was told I needed to get my AAS I was called into a counselor's office. I was told that I couldn't graduate unless I took a remedial math even though I already had credits for Algebra from a 4yr university and was told during my application process. Essentially they was going to make me take any and every class possible to financially bleed me dry after I was told I was ready to graduate. I had to pay $60 to take the opt-out test which I passed. The equipment, facility, and some staff are a joke. When I went there, we were using equipment from the 1930's! Yes, they had calibration equipment with the last calibration dates dating back to the 30's; does that sound like that's a $36k education? I had instructors refuse to take time out after class to further explain the material. The 'tutor' center was ran by students. Their job placement assistance was a waste of time. They only wanted to refer you to places they were buddy-buddy with that paid absolute crap and when I asked RW to contact a potential employer for me to give a reference, he only wanted to set up "deals" for him to send employees to Spartan for training (funny part is that the guy he was speaking with not only didn't hire Spartan graduates, he claimed he was a Spartan graduate himself). They also hold your student loan funds and tell YOU when you can access them. Dealing with the financial aid department was a nightmare. I originally wanted to go there to be a pilot, but I was told that I had to go trough theA&P program first which turned out to be a lie. Attending this school was a waste of time and has put me into financial ruin. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this school. FAFSA, Sallie Mae, and any other student loan organization should be banned from sending money to this school or be held as an accessory to fraud. Any and all loans given to students who went to this school should be forgiven and the funds should be reclaimed from Spartan due to Spartan's fraudulent practices. This school is fully aware of what it is doing. It prey's on people who have a desire and interest in aviation. They make you apply by writing an essay why Spartan should choose YOU to give the impression they are selecting only the top candidates for a selective school. The truth is they accept anyone who has the money. Save yourself the time, money, and embarrassment and avoid this place.

I too am a victim of this place. It's unfair the way they treat students and even staff at times. I need help taking action legally from others that have been in the same place as I with this fraudulent insitutuion.
