Spartan Financial Services Big rip-off, How they are getting your money Charlotte North Carolina
Spartan Financial Services also manages all of the National Fitness Centers finances. If you make a payment , it goes to Spartan Financial. I signed a 2 year contract with National Fitness Center for my 16 year old son to join the center a get fit. After the contract was up, no one called or wrote to inform me the contract was up and that we were on a month to month basis. The money just kept coming out of my bank every month. I called them to find out how much longer was on my contract, because I was going to cancel it as soon as it was up. That is when I learned that my contract was up and had been for almost a year.
I was then told that in order to stop them from taking the money from my bank each month, that I would need to send Spartan Financial a letter cancelling my membership and that it would take 30 days to get it stopped.
I ended up writing the letter 3 times over a three month period. Finally I have had to go to my bank and do a stop payment. When Spartan Financial was unable to get my money, they sent me a letter telling me that now I owed them the originally payment and because my bank would not let the draw out any more money, I now owed the an additional $30.00. In order for this to stop, I have had to go back to my bank and have them block and shred my debit card and issue me another one. Which now I don't have my debit card until a new one is sent to me in about 2 weeks.
The bank has even written to Spartan Financial and requested that my money be replaced in the bank and they are going to write it up as fraudulent charges. I am now awaiting for my bank card and to see what they come up with next and what I need to do about getting my money back on the last year and a half.
Spartan Financial is definitely not doing business the way they need to. This company is a rip-off and out to get your money no matter what!!!
