Recieved a letter in the mail for a sweepstakes drawing on 2/2/2010 for 2,100,000.00 and a 100,000.00 drawing on 12/31/08 for a second notice and call 1-800-915-8349 by September 4,2008 with an ID# signed by E Scanlon. I never signed up or went to their website ever so I believe Careerbuilder.com , HiringMax Fred Omidvar or Angela Penbrook Productions gave them my info. I really think that it was Angela Penbrook Productions though because they send your info to Image Incentive (aka Smart Advertising Solutions), Tafiti Consulting Co. and Ken Hayashi Co. website design companies because Penbrook Productions doesn't have any website designers to help do their rebate program.

This Special Data Processing DBA National Magazine Exchange company got my info unscrupulously and should be reported/shut down. These companies are terrible sending out this BS without you knowing they have your info. If it looks like a scam, smells like a scam it is a scam , but since they are a member if the BBB it might be a waste of time to complain to them but other agencies/scam/fraud websites will get my complaint. What goes around comes around.

SDP/NME Claimed I recently purchased something to ClearwaterBBB that's why they called which is FALSE

I NEVER purchased anything online recently which is what SDP/NME claimed to the ClearwaterBBB and then couldn't prove their claim about a recent purchase , but the ClearwaterBBB never really investigated thoroughly and just judged it as company answered complaint response but consumer didn't agree or accept. By all the complaints on this company by numerous websites the ClearwaterBBB still has it as a good company , no wonder the ClearwaterBBB HAS COMPLAINTS against them too. I agree with Ripoff Report too watch out when dealing with the ClearwaterBBB or any other BBB companies don't earn satisfactory reports it is paid for , probably by the way they Bait & Switch people on the Sweepstakes call in to activate (but say you don't have to buy anything, yea right that's why exemployees are told to be aggressive when consumers call in and try different methods of upselling, employees get pay cut for low sales on magazines nobody wants, health issues of employees/exemployees stated in numerous complaints about how they're treated and pressured, why if it's such a good company like some people claim does this company have so many complaints by employees/exemployees/consumers for years?) but sweepstakes winnings are never shown anywhere so the public can see it was really given away like the Lotto,Publishers Clearing House, etc. The claims of winnings were given away are made by exemployees/employees only, so for such alot of money sweepstakes wouldn't it be worth the company showing the giveaway somewhere(they don't have to name the winner if they don't want to be named like the Lotto) as good advertisement/good faith that this is a legit contest. Has anyone seen anywhere about the sweepstakes giveaway besides an employee/exemployee?
Why make false claims about people making recent purchases somewhere and that's where they got our info from, when we all know that's not true?

Where was winnings advertised on if it was for REAL? ANG30236

At least the Lotto is told where it was bought at if the person doesn't want to be on TV , Publishers Clearing House is on TV/Newspapers so where was this advertised in? Wouldn't it be great advertising for the company to show this winning of such a large amount of money is on the up and up? Instead of us hearing it from exemployees/employees who say they saw it first hand so it must be real, why don't they actually publish it? They don't have to put the persons name in it if they don't want advertisement on winning but where else can anybody who doesn't work there see this actually happened? If this is on the up and up and they didn't hire an actor/actress for a good show in front of you where can we find the prize giveaway at? (TV/newspaper/Internet news)

ANG30236 WHERE DOES IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT A CREDIT CARD? LOOKS LIKE YOUR THE IGNORANT ONE HERE

Maybe ANG30236 you need to read about what this person is saying about your so called company that sends people mailings that we never signed up for or asked for. Second request and you have to call in to activate sounds like a scam to me too , yea right trust you that you witnessed first hand a winner. Sounds like you still work there , why not correct the exemployees/employees complaints on here too? If it's such a stand up company why do they have to resort to sending out these prize winning mailings to people who didn't sign up for it? plus where do they get these peoples info if they are saying they didin't sign up for your first hand account prize lottery?
This complaint by Jsheesh never said anything about a credit card passing info around are you Assuming that or just making it up? If it's such a good company like you say but other exemployee complaints don't corroborate your statement on here or the over 300 complaints on the BBB , why aren't you still working there? Why does it matter if your are working there or not to make a response like you did? Sounds to me that this so called lottery prize BS is a Bait and Switch like Jsheesh says it is to get people to call in and try and sell them your magazine subscriptions. How do WE actually know who this nurse or whoever you claim won is not related or know somebody at this company? Or better yet what about all the other prize winnings, how come you only saw ONE WINNER? How come no other exemployee/employee talks about this winner, but actually talks about how the company really is?

#7UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, September 17, 2008

I am an ex employee of Special Data Processing and now that I am no longer employed with them I will take great pleasure at correcting ignorant people like you. I can tell you from experience that this company does not share your credit card information and even if you don't purchase anything you still have a chance to win the money. I witnessed firsthand them giving away money to the last sweepstakes winner who was a nurse from Michigan. Maybe you should learn the facts before badmouthing a company. Obviously you are ignorant. Maybe you should work on that!

ClearwaterBBB contacted me about complaint response from SDP/NME it's a joke to me

#7Author of original report

Tue, September 16, 2008

After filling out a complaint on SDP/NME on how they got my info and are using a Bait and Switch prize offering to get people to call in suppossedly to activate your prize offering but actually it really is to get their calls up and push their salespeople to sell, sell, sell magazines. Which after reading these comments from exemployees/employees it totally made me realize this is a Bait and Switch.
The response to ClearwaterBBB said that they would take my info off of their call list/mailing list but couldn't tell me where they got my info from and I had to write a letter to their Operations Dept. to get that information. So the BBB asked if this was OK with me as a response and I said NO it's their company and why do I have to send in a letter asking where they got my info when I never signed up for anything from them , THEY COULD HAVE WALKED OVER TO/CALLED THEIR OWN OPERATIONS DEPT. AND PUT IT IN THE RESPONSE. So it makes it even more suspicious that they didn't want to put it in the response to the BBB , plus I am asking to not recieve anything from this company so why would I want to send a letter to them and have more mailings come back from them with a suppossed response?
After filling out my info on CAREERBUILDER.COM I have had nothing but scam/fraud/misleading offers like this ,my email never recieved any such stuff like this before using Careerbuilder.com. I also have a email on YAHOO because my cousin/friends have a Fantasy Football League on there so all through the year I recieve 2 emails until I signed up for this years League now I get 50 scam/fraud/misleading/spam emails a day. AOL/YAHOO/CAREERBUILDER/MONSTER/HOT JOBS/HIRINGMAX all have scam/fraud/misleading job offers as well as other BS on it because they do not check these companies that PAY them to advertise with them, claim that it's the consumers job to do that and also have a fraud dept. to report scams/frauds after the fact.
WHO IS KEEPING WHO IN BUSINESS HERE?
