On April 17, 2007, there were charges on my Visa card from SMC. When I called SMC and explained that I didn't authorize the charge and wasn't interested in their company, I was told that I would be receiving a package & that I should return it for a refund within 30 days. I did this, returning the package unopened, via certified mail (I have proof it was received in time).I called SMC and spoke to George. He confirmed that the merchandise had been received and informed me that I would receive a credit within 30 to 60 days. I did not receive the credit, but did receive charges from EMerchant Club, the company that provides Web Host Support for SMC, in the amount of $29.95/mo.

When I contacted EMC and provided proof that I had returned the product as instructed, within the time frame required, EMC refunded me their charges.
I am still trying to get my money from SMC. They have made several requests for Audio Confirmation of my acceptance/approval for the initial charges. They say that they have the tape, yet I cannot find one person who actually has access to it. I was given a name & phone number for Mr. Nevells, and have left messages for him daily, with no response.

I have written to SMC twice, with no response. I faxed the correspondence and emailed it. I confirmed the reciept of the fax dated 10/16 (the other is dated today, 1/19/08).

I have attempted to resolve this with my bank/credit card company, but it is no longer within the legal time frame for them to take action. I made the mistake if initially doing as they requested ~ wait 30-60 days for the refund to be processed. Boy, did I get screwed, or what!!!

I am still dealing with this on a daily basis. I will fax and email my written correspondence daily, as I will call Mr. Newells daily and leave messages.
I will also post information on this site and any other that I can find, if only to try to keep this from happening to someone else!
