I joined and paid the membership fee to SMC on April 19, 2007 using my debit card after being convinced a disabled person as myself could make lots of money with this business, even if I couldn't get out to do the leg work needed. It sounded good and easy to do.

I made several attempts to make some money using the gift card as a suggestion from the coach I had at that timel. I didn't get off to a good start with the coach because once he found out I didn't have the over $900 it took to buy the merchandise he wanted me to buy to get started making money is when he suggested the gift cards.

I gave out all of the gift card before Mother's Day with the intention of them generating some sales. This turned out to be quit a disappointment because I didn't get one single sale from it.

I called and requested another coach and I got one that did not speak the english language well enough for me to understand her and when that didn't work out either, I requested another coach, then she accused me of descriminating against her because I asked for someone of the african american race. I didn't get another coach after that.

On May 14, 2007 I began attempting to cancel the membership and was continually being attempted to remain a customer and I kept letting them know that I didn't have the money to buy the items I needed to sell. Once they could not convince me to stay I was transfered to an automated recording that was quit confusing to me because it spoke of many options and wasn't slow enough for me to write it all down and I kept calling back going over the same procedure every single time I spoke to the person on the phone that day.

On May 16, 2007 I was so frustrated over the experience I was having with the automated system, I decided to send them an email in detail about me wanting to cancel my membership and the difficulty I was having with their automated system. I was sent a respone telling me: "Thank you for your recent inquiry to SMC Customer Service. You will receive a response from us within 1-2 business days." I never did hear one word from them until this morning when I called to ask why I never got a response and this is when I was told I had past my cancellation date and that I wasn't going to be getting a refund back.

I was put on hold while she spoke with her supervisor, when she returned back she told me that the supervisor informed her to inform me that I couldn't get a refund and there was nothing else they could do for me. After a very heated conversation with this lady, our conversation ended.
