Here's the spill.... on Tuesday January 21, 2009, I recieved a letter from Spectrum Research Group with a check in the amount of $3,988.28. I had been holding onto the information because I had tried in the past to become a Mystery Shopper. My findings are you had to pay a nominal monthly fee for as long as you were with the company and it needed to be paid by credit or Debit card and there was no guarantee you will get work.

I did some research online with the Better Business Bureau in Houston, there was no such company listed. I was glad I followed my first instincts and did not cash the check however I did try contacting them and each time their voicemail was full and could not accept calls.
Yes! the check sent look quite authentic through Citizens Bank and Trust but my concern was there was no address, what also caught my attention was the mail from address was C.P. 11078, Station A MTl QC H3c 5B7 with a Canadian post mark.

The Letter entailing what was expected was signed by Handa Trudel in retospect means sign your life savings over to me... This is really scarry especially in these economic times. We need to get these individuals off the circut and out of the mail.

They initiate they have a P.O. Box can we not have the FBI wathcing these different P.O. Boxes with the hopes of making an arrest? They are defrauding an already exasperated system. I am a Criminal Justice Major, I am not sure if there is still DNA on the licked envelope or letter that was sent to me. If they are willing to commit these types of crimes I am almost positive they have been arrested before.

If I were you I would consider that the U.S.post office has to have a complete street or physical address with the name of a real person before they will rent the box.

Have you contacted somebody at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and see what they can tell you about this?

Just wondering. I wouldn't be surprised if it was from Quebec, as there are a lot of scams and they could be renting a post office box in the US???

Good luck.
