An e-mail from a reputable source, i.e., Oprah, (Torey) MSNBC, or something else I recognize and trustworthy, sent info about a new e-Bay site.  I wanted to take a look, but before I could do that, just like everyone else, I was required to provide a credit card.
I looked at their stock and found it lacking interest - about 12 items up for bid, including a 40 inch Samsung LCD TV.
The site lures you in by saying they are providing you with 150-300 points to start bidding for FREE.  I bid on the TV and was outbid within seconds.  That was it for me.  I backed out.

The next day, last Friday, they charged my debit card for $149.00.  When I called the next day, on Saturday, the recording instructed me to call back during regular business hours.  When I did, I was instructed to go to their site and send an e-mail to: support@speedybuys.com, where I was told I'd get a response from 24-48 hours.  In addition, I sent an e-mail from my g-mail, and called the customer service number again to note my call on account record.

My request to cancel in the 3 day "buyers remorse" was answered with "No refunds" policy.  When I called for an address, I was given 1507 7th Street, Santa Monica, which is just down the street, I found a PO Box rental.  They had never heard of Speedy Buys but said they would contact Homeland Security, once I provided them with information.  I guess Homeland Security is as far as I can go to complain so that other might not be scammed but what about my $150.00?  BEWARE!
