I must report a scam job offer I've fell victim to.

..they did so to collect personal information; and I mean FULL personal information. By the said time of appointment, for a testing interview (0900hrs 5 April 2008) they failed to provide a valid physical address where the meeting was supposed to take place. Anyone has yet contacted me to provide any information or explanation as to why this has happened; hence, I have no choice but to believe, and thus report this as a scam act. (...midnight before meeting, I realized they had not yet provided meeting location. THEN I searched the web for scam reports, and certainly some I found.)

I have not lost money -yet-, but I wasted my time, energy, and have so far lost some peace of mind wondering how wrongful my personal information could be used. I hope to be wrong, but I am afraid I have fell a victim of ID theft.
OPEN YOUR EYES and those of your friends.
Be more watchful before believing ANYTHING.

Good luck to you all, and thank you RipOffReport for your service.

Spherion contracted to hire for AT&T is a total joke

I have have had a few friends that used Spherion to get a job with AT&T and it is a total nightmare. There has been cases of the recruiters losing your information and then when you get to the next step the actual HR rep for AT&T is even worse. The ones who have made it thru are now in the process of looking for another job. The working environment is totally unprofessional and you would not believe the kind of people you are talking to when you call AT&T for your home phone service. I thought AT&T was a reputable company but seeing how ridiculous the recruiters are and how the workplace is structured makes me see AT&T in a negative light. The recruiters that are on here speaking about disgruntled applicants are just trying to save their jobs.

Unfortunately, this report was made by a disgruntled applicant. I work for Spherion as a Sr. Recruiter. The account I worked on is AT&T. AT&T contracts with my company to recruit and hire for multiple positions and locations. We have hired hundreds of satisfied employees. Luis was sent several confirmation emails (which I have documentation through our companies system) confirming the time and date of every testing date he requested. However, Luis "No Showed" several times to our testing event. On the third attempt to test Luis, he finally showed up. Luis did not meet AT&T's hiring requirements, hence the reason to file this report.

Thank you!

This report was just made known to me and I would like to dispute this information!

I am a Sr. Recruiter with Spherion and I work on the AT&T account. AT&T contracts with my company to handle the recruiting for certain positions within the AT&T organization. Luis, the applicant who posted this blog, was invited to a teting event for April 5th. On Thursday, April 3rd, Luis was sent a confirmation email outlining the location to go to and the date and time. On April 5th, he sent an email saying he never received a confirmation email. Spherion sent him another invitation on April 7th to attend the next event. On April 9th, Luis responded to a coworkers email saying that he had not received anything. That coworker then invited him again to the next event. On April 10th, Luis sent an email stating that he felt we were a bogus company and threatened Spherion with the BBB, the FTC and the FBI. At that point, all of this correspondence was forwarded to me to handle. On April 10th @ 3:25pm I responded with the following:

Dear Luis,

We are a legitimate company that AT&T employs to do their hiring for certain positions within their organization. If you have any questions, please go to the AT&T building and ask the security desk to speak to the Center Director. Please let me know if you would like to move forward in the hiring process.

Luis did sign up for a testing event but he did not make it through AT&T's hiring process.
