*General Comment: You get what you pay for

Please do not patronize Spirit Airlines. They charge ridiculous fees and deceive consumers by appearing to have low fares but in actuality they charge more add-on hidden fees. They have no regard for customer service whatsoever. They do not value paying customers.  I will never give that horrible airline another dime of my money!!

I'm of the opinion that Spirit is the American equivilent of Ryanair. Cheap, but really nasty. Personally, I've been on one, and only one, Spirit flight, and I agree that the fees are horrendous, and hidden. I do believe they've gotten in trouble with the government over it in the past. Still, you get what you pay for. If you're willing to travel w/o carry ons, print boarding passes at home, for a low low fare, fly Spirit; Its better than Ryanair.
