Spirit Financial New hope financial They promised me a home modification and took my money $1,800.00 and then beat out $400.00 more Internet
I had been online searching for a home loan modification back in September of 2011 these people contacted on the internet and then followed up with a phone call. It was a man name Lamont Lloyd, Approval Manager he had explain what all they could do to help me, he took some financial information from me.
He called me back explained everything to me, he told me it would $2,100.00 for them to process the loan modification for me and they were running a special I could get it for $1,800.00 and they would deduct it over a 4 month period out of my account. Part of the deal was if they didn't process the loan mod. in 90 days they would refund your money.
As soon as they got all the money deducted it started becoming difficult for me to contact them they would start spinning me. Amber Ellias was my point of contact I would call her and email her with no response, sometimes a week or 2 weeks later she would call with all kind of excuses. She would tell me the bank needed pay stubs or some other document, ones that I had already sent them.
This went on for over six months then about 4 weeks ago they contacted me and told me Bank Of America was ready to negotiate my payment and I needed to pay $800.00 to process some government document.
He said this was the final step. I told him we couldn't pay $800.00, he told us to pay what we could and they would pay the difference that he didin't want the deal to fall through. I payed $400.00 and they had us deposit the money to an account at Wells Fargo bank.
He told me we would be doing a three way call with a Bank Of America processing representative, the call took place and the so called rep. confirmed the loan payment and gave us some kind of confirmation number.
He told I would receiving those documents in the mail in about a week everything would be complete in about 3 weeks and my payment was going to be $753.00. I have not heard from them or been able to reach anyone by phone or email. I contacted Bank Of America and they have not heard anything from any Spirit Financial.
Bank Of America said they process loan modifications in about 3 to 4 weeks not 8 months that is when I realized I had been scammed and ripped off. I warn anyone that is contacted by this company not to do any business with them, it was a $2,200.00 lesson for me.
