Complaint Review: Spirit Tours Inc.

Spirit Tours is a travel company who specializes in spiritual pilgrimages primarily for Catholics. We signed up for a tour in Italy to see Padre Pio and paid them almost $3,000 for this trip. When we didn't hear back from them we repeatedly called and they did not respond.

We found out the tour was cancelled because of lack of participants. We wanted a full refund and the owner, Regina Reinhard, told us she would book us on another trip instead - to Poland! We did not want to go to Poland and wanted our money back. Their cancellation policy states that if the company cancels, a full refund is due the traveller.

After several weeks of not returning calls, we had to hire an attorney and we are trying to recover our money at this point.

The owner of this company is a total scam artist. I believe she preys on innocent Catholic widows (who are the primary travelers of these trips) and takes their money and doesn't deliver the trip or the refunds.

Spirit Tours, Inc. has 36 complaints issued against them on the Better Business Bureau website (http://welcome.bbb.org). This company should be put out of business so that this scam doesn't happen to anyone again.
