SpiritVan Lines of Georgia Daughter moved from Cleveland Ohio to Villages Florida. Initial estimate (supposedly no hidden charges) was $1130 for 241 cu ft. Stuff was to be delivered in 7-10 day. Final bill was $1130, additional $168 for fuel and $700 for overages. Company is a total RIOFF Movers double charges - WE hve your stuff, Pay the bill Atlanta Georgia
Movers picked up stuff -- not a full truck. Representative ESTIMATED 241 cu ft - $1130. Packed u stuff and w got final bill $1130 PLUS $168 fuel, $700 in extra footage. I calculated box size - allowed footage. All the boxes, chair, etc would fit into approx 275cu ft - they charged for 400 cu ft (another $700)
Phonecalls got us to company, you have to talk to accounting, you have to talk to dispatch, you have to talk to etc. Finally Talked to Ely - whose attitude was we pack how we pack, we have your stuff/pay the bill He actually stated boxes arent pack in neat squares - so they take up more space. A 2ftx2ftx1ft box is always one space --- but they charged for 159 overage at $4.99 a cu ft. WHAT A RIP OFF
