Spokeo.com is a complete scam. They promise you a search of several dozen online sites to get information on people. Not only did they give me NO information AT ALL, but they turned around and charged me over TEN TIMES as much as the posted fee on there web page. They showed a price of $2.95 for one month of using there service. They then turned around and charged me $35.40 on my credit card. I immediately went back to there site no more than 10 minutes later and cancelled the service. I still got no refund at all. My credit card company gave me a phone number for them which was 650-988-9007. No shock it was a recording to leave a message, but it did not let you leave a message. I then emailed them and got a response 2 days later. its as follows;

We offer only three packages: 1-Year, 6-Month and 3-Month.  $2.95 is the per-month price for the 1-Year package, and we state right next to the purchase button: "You will be billed one convenient payment of $35.40".  Since Spokeo is an information service not a returnable physical good, we do not refund the first payment after the premium information has been unlocked.

This is a complete lie, there is nothing on there site that says anything about a so called convienent billing of $35.40. I went back and looked at ALL of there pages numerous times, nothing what so ever.I went back to there site about an hour ago to find that they turned around and redid all there info on there pages, including getting access to the package prices. you cant even see them now unless you enter your email and password. Also when I got to the area where the prices are now listed , the entire page has been redone and now it shows an price for a year to be $99.00. So I see what they do is bait you with a price of $2.95 for one month of service, then turn around and bill you for an entire year, then a few days later, they change there website around to eliminate any of the proof that they ripped you off in the first place. I wonder what all those companys that they list on there home page like ABC and Newsweek would think about there little scam considering they are using there companys logos on the home page.
