I paid SPOKEO $35 several months ago so I could look up information on a specific person.  It was a waste of money in that the only thing I got was an address which was available for free on Google. 

I played around with it that day and looked up an old girlfriend from many years ago as well as myself.  Even the information on me was inaccurate or out-of-date and I couldn't find anything on my old friend.   Of course, SPOKEO will tell you they don't guarantee accuracy of the data.  So what are we getting for our money?  I let that go. 

I just got my VISAstatement and they had the nerve to charge me $35.80 again.  They claim I am on auto-renew.   I always read fine print (I am a former legal assistant).  No where did it say I was signing up for an auto-renew program.  Even if I was interested in searching for more people I would not use their site simply because it doesn't provide enough information nor is it accurate information.  

When I called the company, they weren't going to give me a refund at all.  I harshly complained and they finally agreed to credit me $14.34.   Funny how they didn't even pro-rate the refund amount.  They must have to make a lot of their revenue by RIPPING CONSUMERS OFF!  Don't waste your money with these thiefs!
