Spradley Barr Ford - Spradley Barr Ford of Greeley Fraudulent Service Center Greeley, Colorado

I took my F350 in for an oil change, transmission flush, and to have one door lock that wouldn't go up or down fixed.  I came out with a "bad news" estimate totaling almost 3k in "very important work" which included upper and lower ball joints among other things.  I had some of the work done and chose to take the truck to a professional alignment shop for a second opinion on the ball joints.  Sure enough, the ball joints were in perfect shape......The alignment shop said (and I quote) "I don't know what they were looking at, maybe they were looking at another truck and not yours, but the ball joints are your truck are in perfect condition and absolutely don't need replaced at all.  (thankfully this alignment shop was honest, as it saved me $1400 in unneeded work) On my door locks only one (of 4) wasn't working right.  I was told all 4 were a matching set and if one had to be replaced all had to be replaced.  That sounded fishy, but I was a bit desperate to have working door locks so I agreed to the $700 repair.  Sure enough, I called another Ford dealer today and that is not at all true according to the service manager........you DON"T have to replace all 4 door lock actuators at the same time.......

Also, while I waited for the truck in the dealership I overheard another service writer give a similar "bad news" to an elderly lady on her car.  Same scenario, she needed roughly 3k worth of service work that was "very important"  the service writer was actually pressuring this old lady to BUY A NEW CAR.  I mean he was really pressuring her, not just providing a suggestion, he was out and out pressuring this elderly lady to spend big money right then and there!! The ladies car needed new catalytic converters supposedly, the service writer told her the car would never be the same with replacements and she'd be better off to trade it in (total lie)  This service writer really was pushing hard on this old lady to either trade in the car that day, or spend the 3k dollars for the repairs that day.  As she asked more questions his story kept changing slightly.

Based on this incidences it is very clear on Spradley's intentions.  This is outright fraud.  The two scenario's I personally witnessed and mentioned above don't even mechanically leave room for a possible defense on Spradley's side.  It is blatant fraud, and I'll be reporting this to the Colorado Auto Dealers Association and the BBB.
It's one thing to lie and take advantage of an adult (me) which I'm very dissapointed about, but to take advantage of an 80+ year old lady who was on a fixed income is beyond disgusting.

I suggest anyone considering doing business with this dealership look at neighboring dealers and not support Spradley's apparent desire to fleece customers.

and let them know about what happened to you and the elderly lady. Maybe they'll EXPOSE this dealership and let the people of Colorado know what might happen if they decide to take their car or truck in for service.

Thank You.

Funny; I didn't read the part where you helped the old lady while the dealer service writer was taking advantage of her, that makes you just as bad.  I pray my grandmother never get in trouble with you around.
