I had a verbal agreement from Lenny and Tony at Spreen Honda to purchase a vehicle last Monday. I was informed that they would hold the vehicle for me to purchase on Tuesday at 3pm as I needed to fly down from SF. My bank faxed the requested financing approval to Spreen Honda in order to hold the vehicle. I was told after the fax was received on Monday afternoon by Lenny "don't worry, the car is yours...we'll see you tomorrow". After booking flight and hotel reservations, I received a voicemail late that evening from Lenny stating "the car is sold". I contacted Tony, the manager the next day to explain that I had an agreement and a flight already booked. Tony stated "I don't have time for this" and then hung up on me without so much as an apology. I left several messages for Jeff and Chet Spreen which have remained unanswered. I had even suggested that they consider finding me another vehicle to make amends but no reply. I have contacted the BBB and Honda Corp. to help make decent people aware of their slimy business practices. I am sure they will try to lie their way out of this the way they have done with other negative posts. Hopefully karma will come their way soon...

Most recently , I accident drove over a imaginary island. Dec 2023. Upon investigation , I noticed some sharp metal precluding bottom of car. Plus large piece of plastic on the ground. Because of metal precluding on bottom of car , had the car towed, to Spreen Honda . The service advisor told me to take car to a body shop in Redlands Calif. I drove there. The body shop was closed , because of a holiday. I called body shop they kept asking me if I had car insurance. I responded as yes. Then I tried calling back body shop. They hung up on me ,three times. Went back to Spreen Honda, Loma Linda Calif. Met Service Advisor: Johnny Torrez. He informed me that theese were the problems , his mechanic found on my car. 2013 Honda Civic LX. ( 1.) Sub-Frame found bented ( 2.) Control arm must be replaced. ( 3.) The heat shield must be replaced.( 4.) The mechanic must inspect the struts. ( 5.) Guard shield under car must be replaced. ( 6.) Right Fender Liner , must be replaced. My car insurance paid: $3000.00 plus to Spreen Honda. My insurance State Farm provided Spreen Honda, used Sub-Frame. Spreen Honda stated could not use. Because for a manual transmission. Then State Farm Insurance provided another Sub-Frame. Spreen Honda , stated could not use. Because the Sub-Frame State Farm insurance sent was bented. Service Advisor : Johnny Torrez spoke with State Farm car insurance. He told them he had a brand new Sub-Frame sent to car dealership. For a 2013 Honda Civic LX. Feb 3, 2013. Paid Service Advisor : $1,927.86 from hard check sent to Spreen Honda. I paid him in cash. Spreen Honda made $3000.00 more money from State Farm car insurance. Feb 3, 2023. The last words of Service Advisor : Johnny Torezz was : " Let me know if you have any problems ". I found that very suspicious. It was as though Service Advisor: Johnny Torrez , knew I would have problems. Feb 3, 2023, this was on a Friday. Drove only on the streets. In Loma Linda and Redlands Calif. Drove east bound on Redlands Blvd. To make a left on Orange St. I wanted to make copies and PDF'S of all receipts at Fed Ex. Fed Ex was closed because of on going construction. Drove west bound on the 10 freeway. From Orange St. Drove only on the Number 3 , lane of freeway.  As I was driving West Bound on freeway from Orange St to Mountain View, ( Right Fender Liner ) fell off car on freeway . The part went under car and scratched bottom of car. There was no observed debries on freeway. Went back to Car dealership. Service Advisor : Johnny Torrez no where around. Every employee pretended they did not know where he was. Except tall male Asian adult , Service Advisor. He stated," Johnny Torrez , is on a 45 minure lunch break". I found this very suspecious and very strange. Most none union employees only get, a 30 minute lunch break. Or are the real facts, when Service Advior : Johnny Torrez , saw me drive back to car dealership he ran out the side door of sales, then ran to the east back side street and then was standing on the front side walk of car dealership of Spreen Honda. Why ? Because he knew the ( Right Front Fender Liner ) would fall off on the freeway , if I drove on the freeway. How the mechanic told him. However; Wheen I explained to Service Advior : Johnny Torrez how the part fell off the car on the freeway, he found this to be hysterically very funny and could not stop laughing. Most recently I wrote up Spreen Honda ,Loma Linda , two times with Better Business Bureau. Next will write up Spreen Honda with Bureau of Automotive Repair. Note: So far these are the items Service Advior : Johnny Torrez is refusing to give me: ( 1.) Complete name of mechanic that worked on my car. ( 2.) Receipt and complete shiping manafest of the part that supposedly was sent to Spreen Honda. The part that costed $900.00 the ( Brand New Sub-Frame ). ( 3.) Service Advior : Johnyy Torrez never volunteered to show me a receipt that he was at a resturaunt when I arrived. If he in fact was at a resturanunt and did not run and hide when I came back to car dealership then he would be on the survailance cameras of resturaunt he went to. ( 4.) Most recently I spoke to Jim in parts at Spreen Honda. He ordered me a brand new ( Right Fender Liner ) Part number : 74101TR3A50.  Ref number: U0120203. The ( Brand new Right Fender Liner ) should be in the dealership on ,Friday February 10, 2023. Not the next lie told to me on Friday ,February 3, 2023 by Service Advisor : Johnny Torrez was I would be unable to order a brand new ( Right Fender Liner ) because the part was on back order. Note: Obviously , Spreen Honda ,Service Advisor : Johnny Torrez is hiding some thing. He never provided and paper work showing me , that I in fact with the help of my car insurance paid for a brand new ( Sub-Frame ) costing $900.00 . Also to be noted, I was never given the name of the mechanic that installed my ( Brand New Right Fender Liner ). ??  I had read two very bad reviews , that I believe to be true complaints about Spreen Honda, Loma Linda. Dishonest mechanics and Service Advisors. Like Service Advisor : Johnny Torrez. I might keep writting him up with the Better Business Bureau for one entire year. Until car dealership does the right thing and terminates his employment. Then other employees will be intrigued to always stay honest. Might have to go to another car dealership. Then start all over ? Buy another Sub-Frame and brand new ( Right Fender Liner )?
