Springfield Apartments ripoff, dishonest, fraudulent billing, rude employees Richmond Virginia
My husband, son and I moved into the Springfield apartments 9 months ago.
Our water bill is included in the monthly rent. And They were charging us 36.98 each month for water. The same exact amount to the last cent for 4 months. It is 2 adults and 2 babies in our little 2 bed/ 2 bath apartment. So when I confronted the office, The girl told me to come down there and she would give me a paper on how to conserve water.
Finally I called again and the manager called the coorporate office and to find out we had been over charged for water. they blamed the water company. but when we got our next monthly rent bill and statement the apartments had taken some of the debt off of our monthly rent. our water bill now is around 15 dollars a month depending on how much we use.
One night I was doing laundry and I started a load in the washer/combo/ dryer(which is provided by the apartments) and opened the door to the dryer I hadn't used in a week, and the thing was on glowing red, and a piece of the coil broke off caught on FIRE and lite up the back of my dryer in flames!!!
I was freaking! I called emergency maintenance and the maintenance employee acted like it was no big deal. He said he would come the next day to take a look at it.
Let me add that I have called about my dryer not working properly numerous times.
He came when no one was home, when I got home he had left chemicals and cleaner bottles on my floor. I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD!
The dryer's coil still would only 1/2 way light up. After that I called to have it checked out again the supervisor and 2 other men came into my home telling me that the dryer did not catch on fire, and that I QUOTE "Nothing is gonna make Ya'll Happy" and the response to the chemicals could have been ingested by my 2 year old was "what was I supposed to do with them?"
Now I am waitng for them to fix the leak in my ceiling and peeling paint from water damage(2nd time this year in both my bathrooms) It's been 2 weeks so far.
I cannot wait to move from this hell hold. Looks and appearance can be deceiving!!!!!!
