Springlake Property Owners' Association has warranted the title "Biggest Ripoff in Dripping Springs". I along with numerous others in this community have witnessed unfair targeting by this Association who by all legal standards, never properly formed in its origination. It states clearly in the Texas Property Code what is required to officially do business as a Property Owners' Association and these four men Failed to do that. Since 2002, these guys have been pretending to be an official Association, collecting fees, resale certificates etc. There have been Zero improvements done in the neighborhood and all the Association fees have gone to pay Attorneys to sue people they feel are in violation or have gone to pay for letters specifically targeting homeowners they feel like targeting. There have been over a dozen homeowners that have sold their homes and moved away because of this targeting.
Currently, there are about a half dozen homeowners being targeted for an array of so called violations. Two of the members were running businesses out there homes, a direct violation of the deed restrictions, however nothing has ever been said or done about it. Allie Blair and Steven Harris are both currently being sued by parties inside the neighborhood and out. These two individuals have disrespected homeowners in meetings, shrugged off their comments and flat out ignored them as they were speaking. If this was a legimate business, they wouldn't have a single satisfied customer and would be out of business.
None of our fees paid to this Association are going to causes to benefit us or the community, they are simply being used to target those whom they feel need to be harrassed.
A warning to people considering Springlake Subdivision in Dripping Springs, TX...Be prepared to be scrutinized and harrassed if you move here, they will threaten you with legal garbage, they will post on they're website incriminating statements about you, they will give opinions about you on they're website for your neighbors to read. Absolutely the worst run POA we've ever been involved with.
