Complaint Review: Sprint Long Distance

I was signed up by a telemaketer on Feb 20, 2002 for Sprint long distance & local toll calls. International rates were 53cents/min to India anytime, Long distance state to state calls were 7c/min anytime & local toll calls were 5c/min anytime.

When I received the bill till march 04, 02 on march 06, 2002, They charged me $453.30 for the calls & billed me International calls to India at more than $5/min to India. I called them to adjust but they gave me credit for only $155 instead of $397. They have refused to give me anymore credit. I have been trying to contact them & the telemarketer but no luck. All I know is that her name was Anya & she called from some company in Kansas City. Sprint has not co-operated at all to adjust the credit.

I was with At&T before I was paying 55cents/min for calls to India. It does not make any sense to me to Switch to Sprint & pay more than $5/min for calls to
India

I'm not surprised, and do you know why? I've been very dissatisfied with your company in the past. But given the nature of this problem, I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. And I'll definitely tell other people about my negative experience so they can avoid it in the future.

I cancelled that phone no. 510-494-9275 & moved to new address in April 2002.

Here's what I'd like to see happen: I would like Sprint to give me credit of $242 more totalling $397. Any future call made using Sprint long distance calls to India after March 04 must be correctly billed at rate of 53cents/min.

I hope you get back to me soon. In this age of modern communication, seemingly simple things should not go unresolved.
