Sprint / Nextel will not close my account Nationwide

In May of 08 I called Nextel to cancel my account when the contract was up.

In late June I recieved a call from a collection agency, stating that nextel hired themto collect May and June payments. I stated that i closed my account. I contacted nextel. They said my account hand not been closed because I had a balance, at the time i closed it I had a zero balance. So i paid them 2 months. to close the account.

Then in August i recieved another bill the account was never closed. The supervisor noted and agreed that i was not using thier service and did not know why it was not closed. He told me he would credit my account and close it. On July 24th it was fionally closed.

Now i have recieved a bill for august because the account was not closed until july 24th it still showed a balance so they reinstated the bill for July that the supervisor was supposed to credit. I got a hold of another supervisor he then noted one of my lines that i canceled was still in contract.

If I paid the early termination fee he would credit the account and that would be it. I did pay that fee. Even though i do not believe I had a line under contract.well i get a phone call today the credit was reveresed so even though i canceled my account in May they continue to keep it open for one reason or another to keep a balance so they will not close the account with a balance.

They continue to bill me. What can I do to get this closed. I have not used thier service since MAy 1st 08 and yet they want me to pay for May June (which I did, stupid me) now they want July, I will not pay this.
