Upon searching the web sites of several cellular phone companies I decided on sprint. I BELIEVED they provided service to all the areas I needed. My problem escelated, as I immediately left my home area on a family medical emergency. Planning on returning within the two week trial. Three weeks later I arrived back home. Needless to say, I could make and receive calls 1300 miles from home, but not at home.

I visited the local Sprint store to see about alternatives. They gave me a 1-800 number for sprint. They didn't even tell me I could use the 2* key from my phone. They knew it wouldn't work anyway. After very calmly expressing my concern to a Sprint Rep, it was determined that the problem was mine. Unable to use their service in the advertised service area was my problem. The Sprint Rep checked the service area for my address and I am 4 miles out of range. How can Sprint advertise service for a area and not be able to provide service?

By this forum, I can see we are not alone.
