SPRINT PCS FRAUDULANT PRACTICES, INCOMPITENCE, LIES fraudulent ripoff business London Kentucky
IN MARCH 2002 I DECIDED TO REPLACE MY TRUSTY CINGULAR
WIRELESS SERVICE OF 3 YEARS, AND TRY SPRINT PCS.IT TURNED
OUT TO BE ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES I'VE MADE IN A
WHILE.
MY NEW PHONE ARRIVED 10 DAYS FOLLOWING MY SIGNING OF THE
CONTRACT(NOT THE PROMISED 3-5 DAYS).AFTER THE ACTIVATION
OF THE PHONE THE PROBLEMS BEGAN.THREE DAYS AFTER
ACTIVATION THE PHONE WOULD NOT CALL OUT. I CALLED SPRINT
AND WAS TOLD THAT I OWED $17.00, NEEDLESS TO SAY MY
REACTION WAS COMPLETE INCREGULITY.IT TURNS OUT THAT THEY
HAD FORGOT TO CHARGE TAX ON THE INITIAL PURCHASE AND
THEIR RESPONSE WAS TO SHUT OFF THE PHONE.
THE NEXT PROBLEM WAS THAT THE PHONE WOULD NOT SET UP
VOICEMAIL
AFTER CALLING AGAIN I WAS TOLD THAT A NEW PHONE WOULD BE
SENT OUT.AFTER WAITING TEN DAYS I CALLED AND WAS TOLD
THAT NO PHONE WAS SENT OUT. THEY SAID THAT I HAD TO PAY
FOR A NEW PHONE BEFORE
THEY COULD SEND A "RETURN PACKAGE",REALLY A U.P.S. NEXT
DAY PACKAGE THAT I COULD THROW THE PHONE INTO.I ASKED IF
I COULD VISIT MY LOCAL SPRINT STORE TO EXCHANGE THE
PHONE, THEY SAID SURE.
I WENT TO THE SPRINT STORE WITH HIGH HOPES, I COULD
FINALLY BE DONE WITH THIS CRAP.IN THE STORE I TOOK A
NUMBER WHICH MEANT THAT I WAITED AN HOUR TO SEE ONE OF
THE CRETINS THAT STOOD BEHIND THE COUNTER. ONLY TO BE
TOLD THAT MY PHONE HAD A "PROGRAMING PROBLEM" AND THAT I
WOULD HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER CITY 25 MILES AWAY TO GET THE
THING REPROGRAMED.I THEN ASKED WHAT THE CUTOFF DATE WAS
TO CANCEL SERVICE AND WAS TOLD "MARCH 2003". I TOLD THE
IMBECILE THAT I WOULD GLADLY ACCEPT THE EARLY CANCELATION
CHARGE,AND TO CANCEL SERVICE IMMEDIATLY.HE SAID THAT THEY
DON'T DO CANCELATIONS AT THE STORE AND POINTED ME TO A
BANK OF PHONES WHERE I COULD GET IN TOUCH WITH
PCS "CUSTOMER SERVICE" TO CANCEL.
THE PHONE ALMOST WENT THRU THE WINDOW BEHIND FORREST,S
HEAD.
