I was a customer of Sprint's for one year then went month to month. I disconnected services for about a month, bought a new phone and called to have my services reconnected. I switched to a different plan at that point and at no time was I told that I had to have a two year agreement with Sprint until I called again to cancel.

I spoke to a rep, Phyllis ID# PGolde01 in cancellations and she told me that I probably wasn't told about it because I was still considered a customer even though I had my services disconnected previously. She talked me into downgrading my plan and said that if I changed my mind and wanted to cancel again I could and I would not be liable for the contract. She said she would put a note in the system to state I wouldn't be liable for any contract previous to our conversation or after.

I then decided a few days later that it's best for me to cancel all together. When I did, not only did they say I will be charged a cancellation fee, I will be charged a full month of service.

I have sent several emails to Sprint requesting the number for the coporate office to speak to someone higher up. Each email I have received from them says that the reps advised me of the contract. It's like they don't understand English!
