SPRINT PCS LIE AND CHEAT Everywhere KENTUCKY AND U.S.
So, Sprint decided it was ok for them to change and extend my contract with them without my knowledge or express concent in either writing or verbally.
They also feel that it is ok to sell consumers insurance for their products without informing we the consumer that we can not collect on this insurance without first paying $50 dollars out of pocket. So this insurance I have paid for yeas now, that is suppose to replace my cell phone should it ever become lost, damaged in any way or stolen is useless, unless I first pay more and that through an outside company.
After many long hours, days, weeks and yes months of trying to deal with sprint and getting absolutley nowhere.... I have no other choice but to close my account and change my service to another provider.
Sprint now feels the need to charge me a 200 fee for cancelling my service.
I feel the need to NOT PAY any fee for their changing my contract without my knowledge or permission.
I have filed complaints with the FCC, BBB, Attorney Generals Office in four states, and WILL NOT PAY SPRINT ONE RED CENT.
I urge each and everyone to stand up for your rights and tell sprint exactly where they can go and what they can do.

1. T-Mobile sucks. They have the worst coverage of ANY US carrier.
2. I don't know about the contract extension, but as far as the insurance goes, Sprint makes it pretty clear that there is a deductible for the insurance if your phone needs to be replaced. Its the same way with every other cellphone carrier out there. On the other hand, Sprint could have NOT teamed up Asurion/Lockline/whoever and just let the customer buy a $300-$600 phone every time something goes wrong with it :)
3. Sprint makes billing mistakes. I know. I work for RadioShack (Sprint Authorized Rep.) and they even manage to screw my bill up! This month I got a $100 bill when my plan is only supposed to be $27 a month! The thing about Sprint though, is as long as you're not a jerk toward their staff, then most likely they'll do everything they can to help. On the other hand, if you get out of hand with them, you can expect them to put a nasty little note on your account and you can forget about getting help for awhile.

If you upgraded/received a new phone from Sprint at a discounted price...by default they increase your contract...most likely two more years.
None of the big four cell carriers are great....but Sprint is probably the bottom of the barrel. All carriers charge a cancellation fee. Of course you can always refuse to pay it...it's up to you...they'll send it to collections and put a negative entry on your credit file, which will damage your credit.
Verizon and T-Mobile are the best carriers...I've actually been pleasantly surprised with T-Mobile.....
