Complaint Review: Sprint PCS

Sprint PCS Sprint should have verification processes in place to prevent Fraud cases like mine Nationwide

SprintPCS has no records or information pertaining to their claim that I received a phone or billing yet they are stating that I had a phone in 2001. They are stating I owe the 1222.00 how in the world could an individual have a cell phone in my name and charge over a THOUSAND dollars without paying for it. How could they have given me a phone during that time when I was ill and did not have a job nor a need for a phone. I have an illness and have no insurance. Also I do not have a job.
I am just now trying to get into the work world but now I have bad credit that could injure me for life.

I have been trying to find out where the bills and phone were purchased and how they had my ssn. I never had a cell phone and and never had a contract with SPrint. No bills for payment have been sent to my house. All I have received is the statement stating I owe $1222.00 without any documentation that I ever received a phone or bill. How can any of this be verified?

I have called sprint business and no one has any record, I was told to call an 800 number. I called the given number and there was no answer. I do not know what to do.

Please help get this cleared. It would help if these types of businesses had a process of verification. Maybe a photo id would help or verification of employment.

Let me know if there are any steps that can be taken to pursue getting this matter taken care of. Thanks for having this available to report cases.

You have rights as a consumer to dispute any incorrect info listed w. name and ssn. You need to obtain a copy of your credit report from all three credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Expeiran, and TransUnion.. You have the right to dispute any incorrect info. The credit reports will have the name, addy, and phone numbers to all company or collections agencies that you owe. All you have to do is write to the companies and let them know that the account does not belongs to you. By law, the companies have 30 days to answer to your dispute or the incorrect info will have to be deleted or remove from your reports. It is that simply. Your can get free credit report by reporting fraud in your name. Check out the yellow pages for the toll free listings.
