Complaint Review: Sprint Wireless

Sprint Wireless We found out in March of 08 that this company had put us in collection for a bill that had gone bad in july of 07. when we called the company and wanted to know the details about this bill they could even find the social we were giving them. we too were bounced around until we got diconnected. well we were finally told that they were going to send us a fraud packet, we have yet to receive one. WE ARE IN COLLECTION FOR A BILL THAT WAS NOT PAID TO SPRINT. THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION LIKE HOW THE ACCOUNT WAS SET UP HOW THE PERSON WAS BILLED OR ANY PAPERWORK PROVING THAT WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT.

THE COLLECTION AGENCY DID STOP CALLING. TRANS UNION DID AN INVESTIGATION BUT SAID THEY WERE LEAVING IT ON OUR REPORT BECAUSE IT DID BELONG TO US. WEVE BEEN WITH THE SAME CELL PROVIDER FOR ALMOST FIVE YEARS NOW, AND ITS NOT SPRINT.

I CALLED SPRINT TO SEE WHAT I NEED TO DO. THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND GETTING A HOLD OF A LIVE PERSON, GOOD LUCK. WELL I FILED OUT A FRAUD PACKET AND SENT TO THEM. WELL SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY RESPOND. HOW CAN THEY JUST TACK THIS ON TO SOEMONES REPORT WITHOUT BEING SURE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE.

JUST A LITTLE ANNOYING TRYING TO GET THIS ALL CLEARED UP.

File a dispute with the credit reporting agencies that are reporting the debt. The company has 30-45 days to substantiate the debt and if they can't, they have to remove it from your credit report. Hope this helps.
