Spirit Airlines is a scan and ripoff in every sense of how they serve customers. From hidden charges, to charges for carry on items misleading advertising to charges to your credit card for annual fees with no notifications and o way to get refunds. I flew on the airlines once in 2012 and it was the worst experience in over 30 years of travel. I thought I would NEVER have to do business with them again. Then a a few weeks ago they charged my credit card for an annual fee for their $9 club that I did not recall purchasing. Most companies end you an email or letter of upcoming charges and will let you cancel and provide a refund. You can not talk to anyone and when I tried to talk someone all is received was voice messages that said no refunds unless I canceled by MAIL weeks ahead of the annual renewal that I was unaware of. If I cancel now the annual service is discontinued and useless as you paid for something you can now no longer use.

I am a journalist and wil be writing stories about this and other practices. In this day and age the customer is the brand and in this case there brand and reputation are way below what is expected.
