I bought a game called Final Fantasy XI many months ago. I started to play it, and then I had to cancel it because I was being deployed to Iraq.

While I was in Iraq I was injured and I was forced to return to the United States. When I got back I wanted to renew my PlayOnline account, so I can play while on injury leave.

I noticed my username and password wasn't working, so I decided to call the support line. They said that my account was banned for being inactive 90 days, and that I would have to buy new software. Software that I already paid $50 for.

Sadly, there is an agreement in the users manual that says 90 days of inactivity shuts the account down, but I had no control on how long I was going to be deployed for, and honestly I didn't even read that part.

I feel that I was ripped off out of $50 by Square-Enix and PlayOnline. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but I heard it has happened to many people. In my opinion, this company needs to change its policies.
