Ebay Seller Darnyul(checked member profile through community-listed as a "not a registered user" , should be 1st clue of a problem: ebay does not allow non-registered users to sell on ebay)was selling motorcycle and located in Italy.

Seller sent documentation saying he wanted to handle transaction through 3rd party so we will both be protected against a bad trade.

Received emails appearing to be from square trade(look legit) stating to send them confirmation once money was sent by western union.

Upon calling square trade, they indicated they never transact as a 3rd party and never would ask to use western union for anything. My poor fraudulent seller is still waiting on his money.

Denny, if you noticed, Danny said that the seller is STILL WAITING, meaning he DIDN'T fall for the tactic... However DANNY, Denny is right, you should retract this post, since Ebay and Square Trade saved your butt from being ripped off. The Square Trade email you received was NOT from Square Trade/EBAY... I have been on ebay for years and have seen this before. I deal in classic and collector cars, so I get a lot of those bastards from Nigeria trying to get me to ship the vehicle using a bad cashier's check.

SO, the post should be about those bastards from Nigeria, not Square Trade.

And how is this SquareTrades' Fault?

that you fell for the oldest scam in the book? Its a modification of the old 419 Nigerian Scam or Advanced Fee Fraud, and has been going on for over 30 years.

Anyone can "drop a name" and sound legit. You fell for the oldest scam, and you are blaming an entity that had nothing to do with your transaction? This report is more on the person who ripped you off, not Square Trade. You should submit a retraction.
