Our story matches other peoples here. Square has overly generic decline wording, basically "decline" is the only word. Had to proccess a clients credit card multiple times due to the lack of detail on "decline" Once the funds went through Square Up notified by email of a success. Square up decided to withhold the transfer, square up also decided to not notify us of the hold. Being it was a few days before the end of the month a bunch of auto pay went through without sufficent funds in the account. The result is $250 over draft fees, shut down business services, and possibly lost customer data. Still working through the fallout on the last one. When I issued a complaint involving these fees their response was to permanently suspend the account.

You cannot get in touch with Square Up by phone nor directly through email. only by submitting a help ticket and pulling the responding email adress from their reply. Have not received a response from the help desk email.

Square up is no more reliable or better at customer service than paypal and requires check book like monitoring making me question what purpose it servers. Avoid this service at all costs if fund transfer reliability is mission critical for your business.
