I own a health club in Staten Island, NY and wanted a way to collect payments that was due to my business but did not want, to go through the whole merchant process with ridiculous fees.  I began using Square in less than a year during that time the payments were collected by card swipes and manual payments which were from members who called in because they owed payments to us.

Since March, 2012 we have collected over $15,000 worth of transactions from our members, which also include new members, to our surprise we noticed there was no deposit in our account we began calling and the number which we had was what we got from looking it up on google search. I called the number only to get a voice system that hangs up on you, after 3 months of hearing nothing from them.  I instructed those who paid us using the Square system to contact their banks and credit card companies.

I finally got a email from Jeanette who said that a member of the facility disputed the amount at the club and it was at that time that I explained the reason for the dispute.  Jeanette then after 24 hours replied that they will review the amount and get back there was no response. I complained to the BBB and the Attoney General's Office which I shared with Jeanette and it was then she said that they going to put my account on hold for 30 days that was in December, 2012.  They still had approximately $6,500.00 in tranasctions. It is now April, 2013 the 30 days has long since passed and all I am getting is they still in review and added an additional 180 days onto.

Do not use Square what so ever they are a total Scam. I have seen been using Payanywhere and have not had any problems since then I am currently going hired a attorney to sue Square in the hopes of getting the money due to me.
