SRC An Aetna Company 9 months with no reimbursements, stalling technique, claim delay, poor service, 'pre-existing' condition and "Form Not Received by Insured" code on all claims, consistently! Columbia South Carolina
I have had exactly the same poor service that many of the other SRC, Aetna ripoff reports claim. I was happy to be able to purchase health insurance while working in a long-term contract position through an employer in Oregon.
I have suffered financial and emotional distress through SRC/Aetna's total disregard for their clients and clients' paperwork.
I would like to file a class action lawsuit against SRC, an Aetna Company, and I believe there should be high punitive damages charged against this company.
I have been paying on health insurance with SRC/Aetna for the past 9 months. After my first reimbursement claim for a few prescriptions, which was reimbursed in a timely manner, all claim reimbursement stopped.
I have not received reimbursement for over $7k worth of claims (laboratory blood work, pulmonary function test, doctor visits, colonoscopy/endoscopy, and the last 8 months of prescription medicines) since the initial $60-some reimbursement in January. It is now mid-August.
I call Aetna about every 3 weeks. I have a huge folder of claims documentation, as well as voice mail acknowledgement of some papers received.
However, each time I call, I'm asked to resubmit a form which I submitted in January, or I'm told that the claims are processing and "you just have to be patient." Oftentimes, I'm asked what medicines I'm on, and what my pre-existing conditions were...
A month ago, SRC/Aetna said that I needed to call all of my providers and ask them to resubmit all of the claims over the past 9 months so they could re-process them. A month later -- just this week -- I was told a different story by another SRC/Aetna 'supervisor.' She seemed to indicate that there was no reason to resubmit claims, as they were 'in process.' However they have been 'in process' for 9 months now.
I am consistently told that my case has been escalated to a supervisor, and I have spoken to at least one supervisor; but still I receive claim 'denials' that say "requested information not received by insured."
I believe that SRC/Aetna is employing a stalling technique designed to get me to 1) give up, 2) lose my paperwork, 3) file bankruptcy and have the debts absorbed, 4) be so sick that I can't pursue them anymore.
I have submitted a report against SRC/Aetna to the Oregon Insurance Commissioner.
This appears to be a very poorly managed company with extremely poor service. I question their honesty and integrity, and I would never pay for insurance through them again.
