Complaint Review: SSK Communities

Renter beware! Seem very professional until you move in.  Once you move in if any repairs are needed you can forget it!  Have called numerous times about hotwater heater leaking (on new carpet), told to put a bowl under it.  Hotwater runs out before enough water to give baby a bath. 

Been waiting for screens for months and air conditioner not working.  85 degrees in apartment with baby, must open windows due to heat but now mosquitos and other bugs are coming in.  This has been going on for 2 weeks now and NO call have been returned.

The emergency maintenance number has been disconnected.  Call managerment phone number 859-371-2008 trying to get air conditioner looked at several times, no returns calls.  Called SSK Office number since property manager won't return calls but, Kurt Keenly of SSK won't return calls either. 

Tried calling property management number again this morning but, can not leave message because box is full.  Just because people can not afford better housing doesn't mean they should be subjected this type of abuse.

If tenant pays rent on time and upholds their end of the contract, the landlord should do the same.  As a landlord, they are subject to the Kentucky Uniform Residential Landlord Tenant Act and are in violation of it!
