Complaint Review: St. Augustine beach front resort

  We looked online to find a nice resort to stay  in St.augustine ,Fl this caught our eye the website looks incredible we booked the (claimed to be ) newly remodeled deluxe room. when we arrived the building did not look like the one on the webpage. We went to check in anyway thinking that maybe we were just seeing the buiding from the wrong angle, we went to the room and when we opened the door the stail mildew smell took over the green wallpaper was peeling and someone had put white chaulk into the paper joints to try to reattach it to the wall, the crown molding was dirty and poorly installed, the beding was dinjy and the carpet was disgusting.

We immediately went back to the desk and told the person that the webiste was misleading and that I would not Let my family sleep in such filth her response was well you still have to pay for the night. We are disputing the charge, I took my family to a Days Inn 5 miles away, we had to re arrange our vacation which means we lost a days vacation. If the the room cost 40.00 per night and I had a crack habit it would of been tolorable. Do not get Takin in by the pretty web pictures that is not in anyway even close to what this dump looks like.
