I filed a claim with Stainsafe in a timely manner, following all the rules, for an accident with my loveseat. At the time, I specifically asked about the OPTIONAL request for pictures. I was told not to worry about it. My claim was accepted. I was told to wait 8-10 weeks for a technician to contact me about coming to my house for the repair.

After waiting 10 weeks and hearing from no one, I called Stainsafe. I was then told that they now needed photos in order for the claim to proceed. I asked to talk to a manager and spoke with john a. He said he was there to help and that he intended to send me a new loveseat. When I came home that evening I saw I had received an email from Stainsafe denying my claim because Stainsafe had decided that the pictures showed "the damage to be too extensive for it to be considered a single accidental occurrence".

These pictures were taken almost 3 months after the accident. The damaged area had not been protected because I had been told that my claim had been accepted. Stainsafe now is using this as evidence to deny my claim after accepting it? I feel that this company is a scam.

What is very, very sad about this situation is that I read similiar stories over and over again about Stainsafe on consumer report websites and now I am one more victim. The retailers offering this protection are as much to blame as Stainsafe for promoting a fraudulent company.
