Stainsafe is a complete ripoff and totally worthless Palm Beach Gardens Florida
We bought an extended warranty with the furniture that we purchased 3-1/2 years ago from Levitz Furniture in City of Industry, CA. The warranty was supposed to extend the manufacturers warranty to seven years and was supposed to cover stains, tears, loss of resilliancy - basically anything that could go wrong.
I called today to file a claim for fabric that is basically falling apart and has torn where it has become too thin. I was told that the warranty wouldn't cover the fabric that was basically shredding and that I had to report the tear wihin five days or it wasn't covered.
Basically, I was told that the warranty is worthless and isn't worth the paper that it's printed on. I will never do business with Levitz Furniture or Stainsafe again and would advise everyone else to avoid them also.

It states right on your warranty you have five days to call in your report or problem. You are going by what the sales person had told you, not the warranty. Yes, it covers rips tares and burns what have ya. Stainsafe does not warranty ware and tare which is a cause of shreading seams. There again you did not read the warranty, you went by what your sales person told you. Which they are half the problem. I would call your sales person and state this is what you told me what was covered. Now Iam getting a different story from Stainsafe. You people need to make the store be accountable for there selling. Stainsafe always goes by there warranty the store will tell ya if it falls off a truck it is covered. They give you a copy of the warranty when you buy the plan. If everyone would read it I don't think anyone would buy it. The sales people almost get an add on of a 25% commision to sell you this warranty. Its huge when they are selling the furniture. Stainsafe only gets 10 cents on the dollar. The store is making huge dollars on you. And you guys I am sorry are all dumb enough to buy it. There store margin goes from a 42% to a 65% pure profit after you buy it.
Remember same deal if ya go to best buy or sears or any of the other companies that try to sell a extra warranty. Always sounds good but you are the stupid one half the time, people never call in and report a problem but when you do call, theres the fine print you forgot or never read. This is not a scam its all legal you guys are the dummys that did'nt read the warranty. Stainsafe does and the other companies do take care of people but there is always that fine line where no one read or just went by the salespersons word...I don't mean to call you all dumb people but yet. Remember if it sounds to good to be true then stay away from it...I bet know one ever told ya that before...
Please remember when you buy an extended warranty you are adding anywhere from 1-2 hundred dollars to the stores profit that you are never going to use. You can call a furniture repair service to your home to fix the problem and spend about $50 dollars to have him fix your problems. You can always use them when you need to. The great thing is you may use them you may not. But give your money to your church if ya are going to give it away.
