I wish to submit yet another complaint against the duplicitous company Stainsafe. The hell began when I called to file a claim regarding a torn spot on my sofa. The person taking the information incorectly entered that it was a frayed spot, thus my claim was denied. This was yet a long process of arguing and haggling with Stainsafe as they fought tooth and nail against fulfilling the warranty I paid for.

Apparently, a tear is covered but fraying is not. Because of this brain dead person's blunder I was unable to get the problem rectified because I spoke with a supervisor who stated that whatever the customer service agent enters and says goes. It's Stainsafe's way of weaseling out of their end of the bargain. I contacted the store I purchased the warranty from, Paul Rosa's, Inc., and was given the same runaround--they could not issue a refund for this worthless warranty, nor would they offer to repair their cheaply upholstered sofa. Their sagely advice? Call Stainsafe again.

Rosas stated that they no longer work with Stainsafe (gee, I wonder why) and that Stainsafe never even mailed out the necessary warranty certificates to customers, which are mandatory to obtain any type of service to begin with. When I questioned someone else at Stainsafe, they became indignant and vehemently denied this.

I was also directed by one of the timewasters at Rosa's to contact Ashley furniture, who manufactured this junky sofa, and they offered no recourse, either. When I asked them why the fabric is so flimsy and easy to tear after only a few years of normal use, they were basically evasive and talking to them was a collossal waste of time. I've had thrift store sofas that did not wear as badly as this one. In essence, I'm stuck with a hunk of junk sofa and wasted money of the warranty for the junk.

In short, I was bounced around from one number to another between these 3 companies who regard their customers as little more than irritants whose money they are happy to take-- or steal-- might be a more appropriate word here. None of these companies wanted to accept responsibility for the junky product and horrendously rude service they provide, and when they steal your money they just go on to the next sucker who shops with them.

In closing, I would implore anyone in the market for furniture or appliances to avoid shopping at Paul Rosas, Inc., to avoid dealing with the warranty company Stainsafe, and steer clear of anything manufactured by Ashley Furniture Company unless you are planning to replace the piece of crap within a year or two. Rosa's peddles the junk Ashley slaps together and pushes one of the most worthless warranties on the market. What a fantastic team these companies make for the consumer.
