Stainsafe ripoff does not honor warranty lies about claims filed Palm Beach Gardens Florida
I bought a leather sectional, not cheap, from Seamens in Nov 2001. I purchased the stainsafe 5 year Leather care and protection plan. A little over a year later, in Jan of 2003 I noticed a rip in the side of one of the cushions. I called stainsafe and filed a claim.
In Feb of 2003 a service tec came to my house and repaired the tear (not very well) it did not hold very long. I called back and they gave me a new claim number. After a few months I did not here from them, June 2003 I called them back again I got a new claim number and a tec would be calling me.
August 2 2003 still no call from tec, stainsafe called again. Finally on Oct 3 2003 another tec came to my house, looked at the tear and said I needed a new cushion and he would advise stainsafe. Nov 17 2003 stainsafe called me to ask if my sectional was leather fabric or vinyl DUH! Nov 26 2003 still no letter as I was promised from stainsafe called them again and was told that I needed to fax them a copy of my reciept(why didn't anyone ask me for ths before now or tell me that they needed it even?) So I faxed it to them as requested.
after numerous calls to them they finally sent me a new seat cushion and a sevice tec finally came out to install it. By then I filed a new claim cause 3 other cushions were ripping. They only sent me one cushion, and after speaking to 3 different people over the past few months, I find out today that they are denying my claim due to "accumulation of damages" and the fact that they say I never told them that there were 3 other cushions, I only said one. The tec report said three cushion were ripping though.
Stainsafe says that even if they had a claim for 3 cushions they would deny it because all three cushions could not have ripped at the same time. They are so full of it what do they know? They did all start to rip at the same time. But they sent me one more cushion, and now this cushion when I just took it out of the bag that they ship it in is coming apart at the seam. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me that I couldn't. So her I am on the internet trying to figure out what to do about staisafe. Any suggestions? I was surprise to see all of these complaints were right here. I also called Seaman's and they were of absolutely no help to me the factory warranty is only 1 year. If only people could read these complaints before they buy their furniture.
