I have had the same problem with stamps.com that many of you have had. I signed up to evaluate them through vindale research. After evaluating them I e-mailed them and asked them to close my account and then I deleted their services from my computer. In return they e-mailed me and told me that I would have to CALL to cancel my account due to security reasons.

So I called. The customer service employee that I spoke with told me that my account was now cancelled and that I would only be charged an additional $3.85 for the time that I had access to it. Since then stamps.com has continued taking their fifteen dollar payments out of my checking monthly.

I have contacted them over and over telling them that I had cancelled my account on a certain date and that from that day on they owe me every penny that they have taken from me.

The last communication was a letter that I sent telling them that if they did not refund the money that they owe me and cancel my account immediately , I would be telling everyone that I can about their rip off scheme.
I then had to surrender my debit card and get a new one reissued to stop them from taking money from my bank account.

How do companies such as these get away with this type of practice? I say that if you come here and see as many complaints about a company ripping people off as I have seen here about stamps.com that someone should step in and SHUT THEM DOWN!!!
