We were also victimized by stamps.com. After reading many of the complaint threads on various sites it was looking dismal. Then we ran across the below thread on - (((ROR REDACTED))) . All it took was one phone call and follow the below instructions. This was posted months ago but it worked great! I would suggest playing dumb about where you got this information when you call because many people can can be "freed" if stamps.com is unaware how. It makes us sick how internet companies can maliciously take advantage of the public with bait&hook methods especially during this time of economic crisis. Countless people have had to cancel credit cards, close bank accounts, etc. because of a company that is endorsed by USPS? What the HECK?!! A special thanks the person who posted this thread that lead to our resolve.

I found a way to cancel. There is a Stamps.com phone number on the Better Business Bureau Los Angeles site. As of May 14, 2008 there were 736 complaints regarding this issue on BBB. It is impossible to get through the 1-888 customer service number. To cancel, call (310) 482-5800. Press '0' for operator and mention the issues regarding canceling. I got a nice lady who transferred me to a customer service rep 'Rich' who graciously canceled my account in seconds. Also got a confirmation email and final account statement showing zero balance as I canceled during trial period. Good luck!
