As with so many other drivers who worked for Stan Koch & Sons have commented in other reports on this site and other sites, They did the same thing to me. The don't have the backbone or B_lls to file a report or put anything on the drivers DAC Report until after they are no longer with the company then they re-write or re-word what happened to what best suits them and screws the driver.

In my case they made 2 reports on my DAC, Neither of which are correct. They listed 2 NON D.O.T RECORDBLE BACKING ACCIDENTS. 1st was back in July 2010 where they stated/reported "Struck Stationary Object while Backing". Well, as I remember and reported (being I was there) I did SCRAPE a retainer wall while PULLING in a customers loading area, it WAS NOT A BACKING INCIDENT. The only damage to the truck was a scrape to the lower plastic fairing on the passengers side, didn't even crack it or the cheezy fog light. The 2nd was back in August 2011 where AGAIN they stated/reported "Struck Stationary Object while Backing". Well, again as I remember and reported, (I was there) I was pulling into a company in Lebanon,In. There was another truck exiting that didn't stop or slow down while coming  around a parked truck and to avoid getting hit head-on I cut hard to the right and the rear right side of the trailer hit a big industrial dumpster and put a small tear in the side. Again, this was NO BACKING INCIDENT but The oversized, wide load, worthless former Werner sfty director Dailey who Koch hired as their Sfty Director re-worded / re-wrote it so it reflects as BACKING INCIDENT....Well, It's DISPUTE TIME.

To All Concerned, When I am wrong I will admit it and correct it. I originally received incorrect / incomplete information and responded to quickly because of all the other BS and other issues I'm having to deal with, with Koch, for this I am sorry.

Upon receiving the correct information I learned that Koch did file 2 incident reports on my DAC. I did have 2 incidents and do not deny them, however Koch didn't fully report the events and/or details of and surrounding the incidents and this has left a negative cloud over my DAC which prospective employers see.

The 1st incident, Yes I hit (actually) scraped a temporary wall while pulling into the customers loading area preparing to back into the dock. The extent of the damage to the truck was nothing more then a few scrapes on the passengers side lower fairing (below the headlight), it didn't even crack/break the cheesy little fog light in the fairing.

The 2nd incident, Koch again didn't fully report or detail what happened. I had just arrived at the customer and was turning right to enter their lot. Because of a large construction dumpster the customer had dropped just around the corner, I swang wide so the trailer would clear the dumpster. 1/2 way into the turn another truck was exiting, he was coming down the isle on my left and he also swang wide to his left so his trailer would clear the dropped trailers on his right (he didn't slow down, look to see I was 1/2 way into my turn or yield).

To avoid a direct HEAD-ON, My immediate reaction was to cut hard to my right and in doing so the right rear corner of the trailer caught the corner of the dumpster and did put a tear in one of the panels.

When I reported this to Koch's RISK & SAFETY Departments, I was told (before KOCH's accident review board even knew anything about the incident) I was at fault and it was PREVENTABLE, They said that I should have allowed the other driver to hit me HEAD-ON, that way it would have been a PREVENTABLE accident and Koch could have then gone after that driver and his company for damages and if I had been injured, I could have sued that driver and his company or as they put it A WIN WIN situation for everyone...See how much KOCH thinks of or about the safety of their drivers.

Well, according to KOCH, I made a poor call, I should have put a 09 Volvo tractor out of commision rather then just a trailer and possibly injuring myself....GO FIGURE

I don't want to make the same mistake and jump to quick, So can anyone tell me who and how I can get the actual dates that KOCH reported these incidents which now appear on my DAC. Reason being, it is/was common knowledge (rumor, talk, gossip) that KOCH will not report or have it appear on the drivers DAC until after they quit or are dismissed because they don't want it to appear on the companys insurance or CSA stats....Any help will be appreciated and any help finding a job would be helpful.
