Stanford Who's Who Scam and Lies to Get Your Money New York, New York
I was contacted by Stanford Who's Who representative Mike Daly on October 2, 2012. Mike told me that for $878.95 I would receive a lifetime membership into the elite Stanford Who's Who Business Executive Group.
We went through a set of questions and he stated that I had qualified for this 'elite' group of professionals. With the Platinum package of $878.95, that I would receive a glass plaque, a certificate in cherry wood enclosure, plane tickets, concierge services, a press release, a video on you tube, advertisement for my new book, a website, and no monthly membership fees.
He told me that I would be able to market and advertise my books and services, and that I would receive discounts with major brand name stores. He also told me that I would have a branding coach that would contact me within three days.
Of course none of this has happened, because I am on here reporting the rip-off. I received an email called a starter kit, and a half done web page. Within the email was a copy of a certificate that I was supposed to print off. I thought the certificate was supposed to come in a cherry wood frame!
I kept calling and left a few messages, but was not able to get in contact with anyone. I filed a claim with the Attorney General's Office, and my bank is working on getting my money back from them.
I was finally able to get into contact with someone today. They told me that Mike Daly was busy. I told her (Chanelle) about all the things that I was promised and did not receive. She said that she was going to cancel all of the pending fees, and send me the things that Mike had promised.
She then said that Mike had lied to me, and that the things that he had promised me was not included within their Platinum package. I told her that after further research that I found that they had multiple packages that were not offered to me.
I told her that I was running a non-profit. She then asked whether Mike Daly knew this when he offered me the package. I said yes. She said that the Platinum package was not to be offered to a non-profit. She said that she will find the phone recording and then contact me again. I don't believe that she will..being that they have ripped off my church!
We will definitely be taking this up the legal chain. So, if there is anyone out there who can help me please contact me. $878.95 taken from a church is bad.
