Stanley, Barber & Associates ripoff the business that doesnt give a dam A bunch of unemployed clients told to network among ourselves San Francisco California
In October 1999, I went to the BrassRing career fair in San Francisco and submitted a resume to Stanley, Barber & Associates (SBA). The next day I got a call asking me to come via BART to the office for counseling. To make a story short, I paid them about three grands for a three-year contract, thinking that they will gurantee me a job.
Now I realize that SBA doesn't have career counselors in the technical field you want to go into. They had a bunch of other unemployed clients like me and were told to network among ourselves as well as to a list of working clients. After about a year going thru the "counseling process", they closed down the San Francisco office (455 Market Street, Suite 1920) without informing me.
I tried to write letters to them asking for a refund and they never did response. I even filed a report with www.BBB.org and they couldn't do anything. SBA had the BBB.org membership seal on its old website but it didn't matter much after reading a report about BBB.org on www.ripoffreport.com.
If your were a client of Stanley, Barber & Associates, please let the world know that SBA is hurting those trying to find a job financially.
