We asked around about Stanton Optical when we arrived here needing new glasses and did not hear anything negative or positive, so we  took a chance and made appoinments.  The doctor was wonderful, takin time to explain the results of our exams in full, but the service people left a lot to be desired.

We were told when we made our appointments by phone, which took several calls and was a hassle, tht we might be able to get our glasses the same day, since we were visting the manufacturing sight.  NO!  At the very end of our visit, when we had paid in full, the less than helpful "assistant" announced that we could pick up our glasses in three (3) weeks, and not a moment sooner.  I was shocked, as this was not what we were told, and my husband needs new glasses now.  I was told not to call the store any sooner, as the glaases would not be ready.  Staff was not attentive, less than helpful, speaking more to each other than to us, and acted like we were a bother to them.

When I called the main number for Stanton Optical and spoke to a manager, she was rude and abrupt, actually scolding me for talking!  Bottom line, we will still be waiting at least 2 weeks for basic reading glasses that we have had made in the same day in other, better eye glass locations around the country.  Avoid these people, as I feel certain that if we had not insisted on receiving the "buy one get one free" line of lower cost glasses, we would have had better, faster service.  I just hope the glasses are not as poor as I have read from others here. These people are a ripoff!

So the customer is wrong for expecting what wss advertised? I think not. Shame on you for selling your soul by working for such an unethical company. The advertised price should have been honored. I refuse to dignify your accusations further. Get a real job.

The REAL issue here is that YOU HEARD that you MAY have the glasses by end of day and YOU completely ignored the but it could take longer. What amazes me is that people like yourself want the CHEAPEST for price but expect EXPENSIVE service. Odds are that BECAUSE you wanted the buy one get one free, that the glasses HAD to be sent off site. Im sure if you had bypassed that buy 1 get 1 free offer you would have had your glasses THAT DAY!! But YOU went for the b1g1, so it was sent offsite. The real question is WHY you don't listen?? If a supervisor had to SCOLD YOU, what does that say about YOU and YOUR ability on the phone?? What it says is that YOU HEARD what YOU WANTED to hear and dismissed the rest. YOU ASSUMED!!! And when YOU ASSUME you do so at your own risk. YOU ASSUMED that no matter WHAT you purchased that YOU were going to have YOUR items in the time frame YOU THOUGHT YOU HEARD!!!! YOU ignored the rest in favor of a quick fix to YOUR problem. Perhaps YOU need better phone skills. I find it HILARIOUS that YOU were scolded!! I mean COME ON!!!! Are YOU not an adult?? Do YOU just NOT understand that there is a HUMAN BEING on the other end of the phone and THEY are under ZERO obligation to put up with YOUR sour disposition?? THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH YOU!!!!!!! More so when its on the phone. Perhaps YOU need a better phone presence. Or just remove that corn cob from its hidden position up your rump. FYI: YOU WERE A BOTHER TO THE EMPLOYEES!!!!! THEY have no control over YOUR choices and YOU hold others accountable for the choices YOU make. Grow the h*** up!!! If these WERE JUST "Basic Reading Glasses" then YOU could have picked a pair up for about $10 at Walmart. But YOU went with the one that is CHEAP!!!!! There is no such thing as a free lunch. If YOU wanted the b1g1 offer then YOU CHOSE the method and time frame and the employees HAD ZERO CONTROL OVER IT!!!!! YOU get what YOU pay for and in THIS instance YOU went with the CHEAPER frames, which means that there IS a cost associated. And that cost IS TIME!!!!!! Perhaps someone should take from YOU all the items that allow YOU to shop, even your money because all YOU have shown HERE is that YOU don't listen and YOU hold others accountable for the choices YOU make. No ripoff here, just the USUAL idjit consumer who THINKS they are just SO IMPORTANT!!!
