On May 22, 2003 I purchased an HP 7550 Photosmart Printer with a rebate reward of a $60 Staples Gift Check. I successfully filed rebate with on-line Staples Rebate Processing center. I fullfilled all requirements for rebate. I received confirmation tracking number. Rebate provides for receipt of rebate reward within 6 to 8 weeks.

I monitored rebate at staples.com, and each time I was told my rebate should arrive in 15 days.

It is now December 21, 2003 and I have not received the rebate reward. Moreover, I called Staples customer service at 1-877-266-6483 on Dec. 10 and again 3 days ago. Customer service is located in Coppel Texas and is worthless. They can confirm the rebate is over due; they apologize; then they do nothing. This is an outrageous scam and clearly illegal pursuant to U.S. and California Fraud Statutes. When I asked to speak to a manager, they kept me on hold endlessly, then told me to call another number, and when I finally got a manager on the phone, he hung up on me. These people are reprehensible low lives.
