I have received a white envelope with a flower stamp from Canada with no return address on the envelope. The letter stated that I am one of the winners of North American Shoppers Sweepstakes held on March 5th, 2008 in the 2nd category. Ticket serial No 38476075 drew the Lucky winning No 38477889. This is not the first time that I have been contacted by this company here in Canada that I had won some big money. I have received in all 3 times and each time when I called to have them stop sending me these fake checks.

The people on the line that I talked to keeps telling me that the checks are real and that they are like free cash and that I can withdrawal the money as soon as I deposit them. When I call the bank up to question this they told me that if the check was real the money would be in the account as soon as 10-15 busines days. Thank God that I have never deposit these checks at all but they are really getting to be a pain in the butt to see these types of scams still coming into the United States. Appearantly the check is from Star Capital Securities Inc. there is no such business in Tennesee I have already checked. Plus the address of this company is a post office box 1029 Franklin TN 37065-1028.

Why would a company uses a post office box on their checks that again does not ring quite right. I feel real sorry for those people who have fell for these types of scams I just wish that the government can do something about this especially in today societies where identitheft is on the uprise. So please people do not fall for this.
