Star Communications $500 coupon and calling card for only a one time fee of $4.95 persistent frauds Orange County California
The called at 8:00am on a Sunday morning to offer me $500 is coupons for any shopping center or supermarket in the entire US. I listened until they asked for my bank account number. I told her I was uncomfortable sharing that kind of information and she persisted and said that they would only authorize the one payment for $4.95. She said I could call my bank and verify with them too. While she was explaining this I looked them up on the internet and found the other fraud reports.
I told her that I found fraud reports on the internet and she hung up! They then called back 10 times and I did not answer. They waited about 1/2 an hour and called again. When I answered the woman tried to reassure me that they were legit and I demended that they take me off of all of their mailings. Please be aware of this company. They are persistent. Just hang up.
